Shillong, August 02: The Governor of Meghalaya has notified to rename some of the road in different locality in the state, there are seven roads that was rename and this will come with immediate effect.
The approached from NH-217 to Baghmara Bong Market will be name as Capt. Williamson M Sangma Road, the road from Mawkdok to office of the Syiem of Hima Sohra Via Motor Station Iewbah Sohra will be name as U Syiem Duwansing Syiem Road.
The Road from Sohra (Gate) Nongsawlia Via Saitsophen to Mawsmai Road name as U Thomas Jones Road, PWD Road from near Bajengdoba U.P School up to the residence of the Martyr Ullum R Marak name as Ullum R Marak Road.
The Road from Mawkhar Community Hall to Jaiaw Langsniang Community Hall will be name as Doctor Hugh Gordon Roberts Road, the Holy Cross Hospital Road is name as Bishop George Mamalassery Road, Road from the Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills leading to police reserved, Tura name as Real deo Sangma Road.
