Maligaon, Oct 21: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) solemnly observed the PoliceCommemoration Day on 21stOctober, 2024.
The event is observed at the RPF Reserve Lines in Maligaon as a mark of honour towards the bravery, sacrifices, and dedication of RPF personnel across the nation who has laid down their lives in the line of duty.
Senior RPF officials, along with staff members from the greater Guwahati area, participated in the event to pay homage to the brave personnel. The ceremony commenced with a solemn parade by the RPF contingent, followed by a heartfelt tribute to the fallen heroes.
It also emphasized the critical role played by the RPF in maintaining public safety and security, particularly in safeguarding the railways, which is one of the lifelines for the nation.
The ceremony acknowledged the dedication, courage, and invaluable contributions of railway security wing in ensuring the smooth and secure functioning of railway services too.
