Shillong, Nov 27: The Meghalaya BJP State Unit celebrated 26th November as ‘Constitution Gaurav Divas’ or ‘Day for pride in Constitution’ across the nation and state unit of the party joined in by flagging off various events which will continue till the 26th of January, 2025.
The events have been designed to remind people of the sanctity of our Constitution, the unshakable promises ingrained in our founding principles and the importance of protecting the foundation of the nation as a united whole.
State BJP has engineered programs that will disseminate information about the Constitution amongst the masses which will ensure that the dark days of the Emergency are never repeated and that any attempt to sabotage the Constitution, ever again, will result in failure.
Knowledge of the founding principles will also ensure that false narratives that have been deviously designed to divide the nation for narrow political gains, are defeated at every step.
The BJP reminds people of Meghalaya, that if the nation, with its various diversities have survived the test of time, it’s only because the Constitution has bound the country together and has provided a rallying post during times of crisis.
It’s an open invitation from the BJP to all the citizens of Meghalaya, to join the rest of the nation in this festival that celebrates the glory of the world’s most elaborate Constitution, the Indian Constitution.
