Shillong, Oct 20: The Commissioner of Taxes, Meghalaya has informed all concerned that The Meghalaya Settlement of Arrears (under the State Taxation Acts) Rules, 2020 have come into force with effect from 28th September, 2020.
It is therefore requested to all concerned dealers or taxpayers who are interested to avail the Tax Amnesty Scheme with 30% remission of tax, surcharge, interest and penalty under The Meghalaya Settlement of Arrears (under the State Taxation Acts) Ordinance, 2020.
For settlement of arrears upto March 2020 to contact their respective Superintendent of Taxes. The details can be viewed at meggst.gov.in.
