Maligaon, Oct 18: The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to operate another festival special train between Katihar – Amritsar – Katihar to facilitate the passengers during puja rush. The festival special train will run for two trips each in both directions.
Festival special train no. 04680 (Amritsar – Katihar) will depart from Amritsar at 08:10 hours on 22nd & 27th October, 2022 to reach Katihar at 16:30 hours on the next day. Festival special train No. 04679 (Katihar – Amritsar) will depart from Katihar at 20:00 hours on 23rd & 28th October, 2022 to reach Amritsar at 04:30 hours on the third day.
During it’s both ways journey the festival special train will run via Barauni Jn., Gorakhpur, Moradabad and Ludhiana Jn. stations. It will run with 02 AC three tier, 11 sleeper class, 09 general coaches and 02 luggage vans.
Further, train no. 52539/52538 (New Jalpaiguri – Darjeeling – New Jalpaiguri) AC passenger will remain cancelled from 29th October, 2022 to 16th December, 2022 due to poor patronization.
