The migrant from Manipur who are still staying in Shillong are 77 in number DC Shillong

Shillong, July 11: The violence erupted in Manipur during the month of May 2023 and there are three tribes have migrated to Shillong, the Gangte, Vaiphei and Zou community of the Kuki tribe they have come to Shillong and they have been accommodated by their church by their Association.

The migrant that have come to Shillong all of them there are 365 in numbers that were reported to the District Administration by the concern communities and the District Administration has assisting them with all possible assistant and the pass the number has dwindle.

The number as of today stand only at 77 in number this was base on the representation of the three communities and two church denominations and this people are accommodated in their relative or they have stay in the rented house and the police is facilitated so that they can get rented house.

From the District Administration is in touched with the pastors who are incharge that if they required for Admission for their studies if the required of any help District Administration they can approached, so far no one has come for seeking admission may they have done on their own.

From the District Administration has conducted meeting in Madanriting and Lapalang, in these meeting and they have assured all the possible help and security and many of them they are willing to returned back and for thus who are still in Shillong the District are in touched with them, thus who have returned back they have gone to Aizawl.
