Shillong, July 14: The NEHUTA held a peace march at NEHU campus to send the message of peace, sisterhood and fraternity in the strife torn Manipur and hundreds of students, teachers, employees of the University were participated.
The Peace mrch was also participated from among the civil society members from all the seven states of North-East, the march reverberated a committed and sincere voice of peace and harmony to bring an end to conflicts in Manipur.
The NEHUTA emphasized on ‘peace with justice’ as the top priority that should be pursued in Manipur even before resolving any other vexed problem that is considered as the cause of the conflict.
The NEHU fraternity, being the microcosm of Northeastern states and communities implored upon everyone to come forward and re-establish peace and strive towards violence free Manipur.
