Shillong, September 09: Today in the afternoon there was an encounter between the Meghalaya police and the Achik Revolutionary Army (ARA) cadres at selbagre,rongram.
In this encounter one of the cadre of ARA died on the spot and his identity is yet to be established, the police also managed to arrest one of the cadre known as Bachan M Marak of Rangram village.
From the indecent the police recover one 9mm pistol, one magazine and one ammunition from the spot, while the others cadets managed to fled away from the area.
