Tura, August 11: The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills District Mr Pravin Bakshi said that they are still on with the assessment on the damaged Cause by flood that has affected the plain belt area of the District. Within this few days they will be able to submit the report to the government.
Major damaged in this flood are, agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery, and road. The estimate loses is yet to be compiled since report are still coming from different party of the flood affected areas. The district administration hopes that with a day or two they will be able to complete the assessment work.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the water level has come down and people are started going to their own villages. From the district administration they are still monitoring relief and rehabilitation in thus area where flood is affected.
