Chief Minister Mr Conrad visited quarantine centre in Baghmara, asked people not to worry

Shillong, June 01: Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma today visited South Garo Hills District and meeting the official of the District Administration at Baghmara. His visit is to oversee the overall preparation on how to contain this pandemic COVID-19 in the District.

In his visit Mr Conrad visited quarantine centre at Baghmara and interacted with the inmate who were quarantine themselves in the centre, talking to thus people who are in the centre the Chief Minister  asked not to worry once the RT-CPR test is done if they are Negative they will be allowed to go home.

On his visit to the headquarter of the South Garo Hills District Baghmara the Chief Minister also participate in a short prayer meeting organised by different religious faith  held at the compound of the church to pray for the society as we fight COVID-19.

The prayer meeting was   attended with few people observing  with all the Social Distancing as laid down by the Government.The In His short speech the Chief Minister said that Meghalaya have never face such situation like this before.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting with the official of the South Garo Hills District, in his address to the official of the District he emphasis that it is very important that while we work to defeat Corona virus we should unite as a team.

The Chief Minister also said that we have to adapt to the situation and learn to change ourselves and get back to doing thing differently, in the review meeting it was attended  by the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of police and others official of the District.
