Computer knowledge soon will be made compulsory while applying for govt service

Shillong, October 12: In olden days a person who does not know to write his name is illiterate, but today a person without computer knowledge is illiterate. The state government of Meghalaya soon will be made compulsory while applying for government service.

Sources told SP News Agency that the state government of Meghalaya is contemplating to made compulsory that any applicant who applied for government service through MPS, DSC should know how to operate the basic knowledge of Computers.

At present few departments of the state government while advertising various vacant post in their department they have include that an applicants who applied for the post should also possesses basic knowledge of computers.

Recently while the department of Food civil supplies and Consumers affair department, in their latest advertisement has asked the entire applicant who applied for the vacant post should know computers, like wise in many department of the state government was also done the same.

But till date the state government has not taken the decision to make compulsory as one of the criteria to apply for government service, sources said that the state government will soon take the decision to make one of the criteria for applicants for government services  that they should have knowledge on computers.
