Congress party which has formulated anti-conversion laws in the country: BJP

Shillong, April 05: The BJP term the accusation of various Congress leaders in Meghalaya against the BJP of being a communal party is baseless and unfounded.

The Congress should made a soul searching for its indulgence in “communal politics” and the recent act of practicing “communal politics” was the one enacted by the Congress leadership Sonia Gandhi  in her secret meeting with Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari.

Isn’t it the grand-old Congress party which has formulated anti-conversion laws in the country?  Isn’t it the Congress government  which has passed these laws in Odhisha, Madhya Pradesh and the  Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, 1978 that was enacted to provide for prohibition of conversion from one religious faith to any others reregion.

If Congress is an anti-Christian party or un-secular national party, how did the Christian faithful in Christian-dominated states like Goa or for that matter in Nagaland voted for the BJP candidates.

In Meghalaya, the people in certain assembly constituencies had elected BJP candidates who belonged to the Christian community as MLAs. Can we call our late BJP leader TH Rangad an anti-Christian person? In his short time, as a leader and a minister he has served the people of Meghalaya with honest and sincerity as a true Christian leader.

We are amazed that Congress legislator AL Hek diatribe on his old party which he had earned his name in his political career. What takes? so long for Mr Hek to realized that BJP is a communal party? When he had won three Assembly elections in a row on BJP ticket.

The BJP is concerned in the illegal Bangladesh immigrants in Meghalaya. If elected to power, the BJP will enact stringent laws to curb the illegal Bangladeshi immigrant issue in Meghalaya and in the entire North Eastern states which has threatened the political and geographical demography of the region.

Our central leaders in Delhi have assured leaders of the North East Regional Party Forum to enact a stringent law to tackle the illegal immigrant and the BJP will act against it.

The BJP is also concerned with the rising unemployment problem in Meghalaya leading to the unpleasant law and order situation. If elected to power, the BJP will ensure infrastructure and economic development across the state, especially in the rural areas of Meghalaya to provide self-employment to the thousands of educated youth.

The BJP has also taken strong exception on the education scam inMeghalaya affecting the career of thousand school children across the state. And this would be the first issue which the BJP would take up once the NDA formed the government.

If elected to power, the BJP have decided roll out agriculture programs to boost the economic development in the rural areas of Meghalaya. The BJP will eliminate the middlemen culture and direct access for the farming community to the market by setting up a special farmers cell to facilitate selling of the agriculture and horticultural products.(SP News)
