Shillong, October 14: Continuing with the initiative of East Khasi Hills District Police under the Programme “Visiting My Police Station”. 50 (fifty) Students and Teachers of Laitumkhrah Presbyterian Church visited Sadar Police Station, Shillong today the 14th October, 2016 as part of the Youth Week Programme of the Church.
Inspector D. K. Prasad, Officer In-charge, Sadar Police Station and Inspector Pynhunlang Syiem, In-charge, Sadar Traffic Branch guided them to the various branches of the Police Station viz Main Police Station, Women Police Station, Police Control Room and Traffic Branch.
They were explained of the role of each unit and how different Police branches function. This is also information to the public that the programme “Visiting my Police Station” is still on and Schools/ Colleges are welcomed to visit the Police Station any day at their convenient date and time with prior information to the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong.
