Shillong, June 06: The Office of the Joint Director Soil & Water Conservation, Research & Traning, Conservation Training Institute, Byrnihat joined with the rest of the world in celebrating the World environment day on the 5th June 2014 with the Theme “Raise Your Voices Not The Sea Level”. The function was attended by the officers, staff, school teachers, pupils of the Conservation Training Institute, Byrnihat and also the 41st batch Field Assistant Trainees.
During the function, short speeches were delivered by Shri G Kharmujai, Jt Director, Instructors, Assistant Instructors, Trainees and teacher of the school and all of them stressed on the importance to conserve and preserve for the survival of mankinds. after the function, tree planting of 1000 seedlings were planted in the campus by all participants.(SP News)
