Shillong, November 24: The Chief Minister urge women of Nongkrem Constituency to work hard for Congress in 22-Nongkrem Constituency. In a hurriedly arranged meeting more than a hundred women from around 25 villages under 22-Nongkrem Constituency led by John F Kharshiing, President, Nongkrem Block Congress Committee, and MLA aspirant from the Congress, met Dr Mukul Sangma Chief Minister, in his official residence on 23 Nov 2017.
During the meeting Dr Mukul Sangma, Chief Minister, explained to the women and party members about the threat to the federal structure from the BJP which is a political front of the RSS and which has hidden agenda to impose their hidden agenda on a democratic country which has been built in the midst of diversity, multitude cultures and especially the over 700 tribes in India and that there is a possible danger to this liberty and peaceful diversity that we have attained through the sacrifice of the great Mahatma Gandhi, he expressed serious concern especially for the small tribes of the North east.
He urged the women members of the Congress from Nongkrem to work hard and ensure victory for the Congress Candidate from 22-Nongkrem Assembly Constituency.
