Tura, Aug 11: Meghalaya chief minister, Mukul Sangma today announced
introduction of preference purchase policy to encourage entrepreneurs
in the state.
“Government will support entrepreneurs by purchasing their product,
even if there are other giant players in the industry. We will provide
necessary assistance and hand holding to support small units”, he
said.
He told a gathering of participants, who have enrolled for courses in
apparel making and masonry at United Nations vocational training
centre, which was inaugurated in Betasing in South West Garo Hills
today.
He informed that government will accord priority to support small
entrepreneurs and their sustainability by providing them “incubation
centre”. “All assistance and support will be provided for
entrepreneurship activity in the state. In different marketing
complex, which are coming up in the state, we will provide space for
entrepreneurs to set up their small units”, he added.(SP News)
