Shillong, December 09: On 8th December, 2016 at around 5:50 P.M., an one Vehicle Bearing Registration No. ML 05 K 9239 Local Taxi driven by Mr Bankit Synrem, of Malki, Pdengshnong, Shillong dashed against one Traffic Police personnel Andrush G. Momin of Sadar Traffic Branch who was performing his duty at General’s Point.
Both the police personnel and the driver taken to Civil Hospital, Shillong for medical treatment and examination. Medical Officer opined that the driver of the Local Taxi, Shri Bankit Synrem, was under influence of alcohol.
In this connection a regular case has been registered vide Sadar P.S. Case No. 338(12) U/S 279/338 IPC against the erring driver for rash driving in a public way and from endangering the life and personal safety of others.
