Eastern Air Command air warriors retrace historic David scotts trail

Shillong, May 22: Around 68 air warriors comprising officers, airmen and family members, undertook the historic and one of the most popular trekking routes in Meghalaya, the ‘David Scott’s Trail’, a 16-Kms stretch from Ladmawphlang village to Mawphlang, here on Sunday.

The trek was flagged off by Air Vice Marshal Sudhir Rai, of HQ EAC, IAF. Adventure and sports activities invariably go hand-in-hand in the Air Force way of life reinvigorating camaraderie and espirt-de-corps amongst air warriors. The trek let the participants relive a slice of Meghalaya history while offering them a glimpse into the life of Khasi villagers amidst expansive meadows, cascading waterfalls and running streams.
