First round of Pulse Polio Immunization Programme will be held in the District

Shillong, January 28: The office of the District Medical & Health Officer, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has informed the general public that the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme 2017 (1^st Round) will be held on 30^th January, 2017 from 9:00 AM-4 PM in the arranged booths throughout the District to be followed by house to house search and coverage activity from the 31^st January, 2017 to 1^st February, 2017.

This programme is intended for all children from 0 to 5 years. Children who are regularly immunized will also be vaccinated. The office of the District Medical & Health Officer, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin will also be conducting the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme 2017 (1^st Round) will start from the 30/01/2017 to the 01/02/2017.

This programme is intended for all children from 0 to 5 years. Children who are regularly immunized will also be vaccinated.Meanwhile, the office of the District Medical & Health Officer, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai will also conduct the National Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme (IPPI) all over the district on 30^th January, 2017 from 8.00 AM to 4.00 PM in arranged booths followed by house visit on the 31^st January and 1^st February, 2017.

All parents are requested to take their children to the arranged booths in their respective localities, and to the nearest CHC/PHC and sub-Centre
