Shillong, March 02: The HNLC in the press statement issued to media houses said that, It is indeed an irony that the Government of Meghalaya and its security agency apparatus had shown its ugly head again. The non handling of issues of peace settlement, the non issuance of rehabilitation packages to the ANVC(B) cadres is a gross violation to the peace processes as initiated by the MUA 2.
It is evident in the occurrence of political activities . This portrays that peace talks are just an eye wash to bring cadres overground . The band outfit asked how could the CM be so selfish ? Meghalaya consists of Khasi-Jaintia and Garo,But the way Dr mukul is pushing developments into his own constituency signifies that he doesn’t represent the people but only himself. He has been the most selfish leader of all times.
The HNLC was promised by the CM and the Governor to come to the mainstream. But those were blatant lies. We do not trust the leadership of a CM who used extremist groups to make his political career but when the time becomes convenient for the groups to come to the mainstream the CM built walls instead of bridges. The CM is an architect of state political conspiracies. He is an expert in sabotage
and manipulative policies.
The HNLC leadership has lost all its faith on the CM and the Government of Meghalaya. The only hope left with us is the Government of India. In recent press statements by the BSF it was revealed that the HNLC had more camps than the GNLA or the ULFA in Bangladesh soil. But the proactive police dept time and again ignores and makes statement of their own staged dramas, by declaring that we do not exist anymore.The press statement also said that they HNLC do not want to engage in illegal activities, they realise that what is the merits and demerits in their path to achieve their aims and objectives.
The chairman of GNLA Champion. R. Sangma secured bail recently after serving four years in jail but the state machinery manipulated his freedom and made complications instead. The HNLC also afraid that the police department may come up with strategies to either eliminate Sohan.D.Shira or Champion. The same thing may happen to the leaders of ANVC and its breakaway fractions.
The HNLC claim that the recent encounter of Norok Momin was also stage managed and it is a clear cut policy of the police departments fake encounters. The Government of Meghalaya by its sheer will of sabotaging peace talks shall invite more bloodshed in the Khasi Jaintia and Garo hills. When peace is not welcomed then violence remains the ultimate solution. The HNLC blame the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma for the derail in peace process.
