Implementation of ILP and Etc, we accept railways into Jaintia Hills JSU tell Meghalaya Govt

Shillong, July 06: The Jaintia Students Union strongly opposes the idea of the Government to bring alternative ways and means to set up and construct railways  to Jaintia Hills.

The Jaintia Students Union’s request to the Chief Minister for the development of proper educational institutions, hospitals, and good roads in Jaintia Hills reflects our priorities for the region and implementation of ILP in the state.

While the JSU emphasize the need for these essential facilities, they express a preference for focusing on these areas rather than the development of railways. They  understand that Railway connectivity can have numerous benefits.

This benefit  including improved transportation, economic growth, and enhanced connectivity with other regions but small state like Meghalaya which is being occupied by mostly tribals it is necessary for the Governmemt to first bring up ILP system into the state as its purpose is to regulate the entry of outsiders to protect the local culture, resources, and population of the region .

It’s important to note that the preference expressed by the Jaintia Students Union does not necessarily negate the need for railways in Jaintia Hills. They  are simply advocating for an implementation of ILP to restrain illegal immgrant and focus on educational institutions, proper public hospitals, and road infrastructure, which we believe are the immediate priorities for the region’s development.
