Shillong: October 06: Three day Inter Formation Eastern Command Hockey Championship 2016-17 was conducted at Assam Regimental Centre (ARC), Shillong. the championship which commenced on 03 concluded today.
A total of 05 teams from all across 101 Area have participated in the Championship. The matches were played on league basis. The final was played on 06 Oct 2016 between Assam Regimental Centre and 58 GTC. In a one sided scintillating match, Assam Regimental Centre emerged as winners by 23 to 0 goals.
On behalf of Lt Gen SP Nawathe, GOC, 101 Area, the prize distribution was done by Commandant, 58 GTC. He the distributed prizes and trophy to the winning Assam Regimental Centre team.
