Jowai, November08: The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, Jowai PS Dkhar, today inaugurated the Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra building constructed at the cost Rs. 25,00,000/ and the first Entrepreneur Facilitation Centre (EFC) of the District in the headquarter of Thadlaskein Block.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner, said the building constructed will serve and benefit the purpose of the public falling under the Thadlaskein Block including the Area Employment Councils under Lad Mukhla as well as the Village Employment Councils under Thadlaskein Block for conducting meeting, auditing and other purposes, it will also serve the purpose for organising other Governmental programme.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the purpose of opening the Entrepreneur Facilitation Centre in the Block Headquarter is to make known to public about the Government schemes and to help them out with their problems and expanding their way of working.
The Block Development Officer, AM Lyngdoh in his brief introduction and also chairing the programme informed that the section of the building will serve in facilitating all the VECⳬ it will also serve as Resource Centre Hall for conducting of meeting and other programmes, a ICT hall for auditing, and a portion of the building is also allotted for setting up a Centre for Information on the Schemes of the Government a part of the IBDLP a state flagship programme and to help the villages to be able to start a new job of their own.
The Construction of BNRGSK building has been provided the permissible activity under MGNREGS during the year 2010-2011, Shri S.S Syiemlieh , Project Director, DRDA also the Addl. Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, speaking as the guest of honour called on the public to have a maintenance responsibility and also take benefit and make full use of the Centre in collecting better information with regards to the Government Schemes.
Shri K.Hynniewta, R.O Planning gave a brief introduction on the need for having the Entrepreneur Facilitation Centre is to lead and show a way for the public on the schemes of the Government an information Centre for the public and helping them in expanding their work and multiplying their livelihood.
The other speakers were B. Lyngdoh, headman of Lad Mukhla, R.W Rymbui, President of Mukhla Raid Dorbar Pyllun, I Suna AEC, Lad Mukhla.
