Shillong, December 11: The MCIC in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong of Upper Lumparing and Lower Lumparing and the Lumparing welfare Society organized the Foundation Stone laying ceremony today for construction of PWD Road from the residence of Smti Merdamon Nongkhlaw Bhutia Mandir via Lumparing Vidyapith School upto Lumparing Nepali L.P School, Mynsain Sanctioned under PWD development Scheme 2017
The road will be constructed at the cost of Rs. 1,08,39,000/- which was initiated, recommended and inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr Sanbor Shullai, MLA in present of Mr H. B Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong, Mr D. Shabong, Rangbah Shnong Lower Lumparing, Mr N. Dey, Mr A. Das, Mr Shibu Das Lumparing Welfare Society Members of both the Dorbar Shnong and a huge attendance by the residence of the Area.
Mr H. B Wahlang, Headman of Upper Lumparing, presided over the function and during his speech he has appreciated and lauded the initiative and sustained efforts of Bah Sanbor Shullai, MLA, for bringing various kind of developmental schemes from various departments which has fulfilled the long long aspiration of the people of Greater Lumparing this motorable road will be a great blessing to the residents of the area to get this road after 40 years of their hardship in availing this kind of road for their benefits and lastly it is through the personal initiative and hard work of Bah Sanbor Shullai, MLA that the dreams of the people of Greater Lumparing has come true for the interest of the locality in particular and the 19th South Shillong Constituency in general.
Mr Anthony Marwein, Secretary, MCIC during his speech has appreciated and lauded the sustained efforts of Shri Sanbor Shullai, MLA cum Chairman due to his hard work and personal initiative that various Developmental Schemes has been selected, approved and get it sanctioned by the Govt.
Mr Sanbor Shullai, MLA, during his speech has greatly expressed his sincere thanks to all the Land Owners who have parted and handover their Land free of cost the PWD Department and the Dorbar Shnong he has also suggested and requested the members of the MCIC and members of all Dorbar Shnongs to monitor the project with cordial relationship and in collaboration with the officials of the Department as per specification laid down by the PWD Department Concern for the speedy implementation of the project to ensure best quality of works for the benefits, welfare and interest of the general public of 19th South Shillong Constituency.
