Shillong, Naitung 12: In partial modification of the Home Police department s notification issued on the 20/12/ 2022 under the power conferred vide sub section (1) of Section (3) of the prevention of the Illicit Traffic Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic, Act 1988.
The Governor of Meghalaya is please to empower Mr. R. Rapthap IAS, Secretary to the government of Meghalaya, Home (Police) Department to be an authority to issue order of detention in respect of any person.
The authority was confer including a foreigner with a view to prevent such person or persons from engaging in illicit traffic in narcotic drugs Psychotropic substances, with immediate effect and till further order.
