Shillong, june 19: The principal secretary to the government of Meghalaya, Labour Department has inform the complaint Committee for protection of women against sexual harrashment at work place for the state of Meghalaya in respect of factories , shop and other commercial establishment has been constituted with the following members .
Labour Commissionner as chairperson , special SP (CID) Assistant Director of social welfare ( Social Defence), Government pleader/ public prosecutor , chairperson child welfare , Committee east khasi hill as members while the deputy Labour Commissioner as member secretary.
Further the committee will enquire into all complain regarding sexual harrshment in work place , the committee will also address all complaint in a fixed time frame and recommend appropriate action on the same and shall also make an annual report to the government on all complaint receive and action on these complaint.(SP News)
