Shillong, oct 07: The Meghalaya police inform that on Wednesday base on reliable information at around 3.30 pm a suspect person was apprehended from Civil Hospital Shillong for his alleged involvement in the recent incident of placing an IED in front of the National People’s party (NPP) Office.
In the course of investigation, the suspect admitted to his role and also stated that he is a member of the proscribed militant outfit the HNLC. Incriminating evidence have been seised from his possession, and investigation of the case is in progress to arrest the accused person involved in the crime.
