Shillong, December 27: The Meghalaya police received and information on the 26.12.2016 , from Sultanpur Police of Uttar Pradesh that a boy of 7 years was kidnapped from a village, Jhuara and the kidnappers were suspected to be in Shillong.
The intention of the kidnapers is to demand ransom amount for the release of the 7 years boy. The City Police was alerted and officers of Sadar Police Station working together with the Special Cell of SP’s office were able to locate the presence of the kidnappers at Police Bazar area.
Immediately a check was made of all the hotels in Police Bazar and the efforts was successful when the boy was rescued from one of the hotels. The kidnappers were also arrested which included Mr Shyamsundar Shitala Prasad Shukla and his wife Smti. Shalini Shyamsundar Shukla both from Nongmynsong. Both were arrested earlier by Shillong Police in a similar criminal case.
