Shillong, September 23: The Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr A T Mondal, today released two books at the Assembly Hall title “P.R Kyndiah as I know him” and “ Meghalaya”.
This book was compiled by the commissioner and secretary of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr Andrew Siamon, this book illustrate about Late PR Kyndiah as a legislator, the ruling as the Speaker particularly to the disqualification of the Independent MLA in the Assembly.
The others book tile “Meghalaya” written by Dr Ibanrikenti Ranga and Dr S. Sharma of the North Eastern Hills University. This book is the latest book on Meghalaya published after the creation of four new Districts.
Speaking as the chief Mr Mondal, describe late Mr PR Kyndiah as a legend and this book will help the legislator and young people who aspire to be legislators. Mr Kyndiah ha proves himself and he was chosen to be Governor and after returning to politic he was made cabinet minister in the union government.
On the book “Meghalaya” he said that this is latest edition published after the creation of four new Districts in the state, he hope that this will help the academician, students and the people at large.
Mr Waibha Kyndiah son of late PR Kyndiah express his happiness to see that the book was brought out on his father political career, he also said this book he want to bring out long time back but could do so, “ I am happy that this book was released today”.
Mr Andrew Saimon, who compile this book, said that it has taken almost six years for him till he could complete and resealed today, this book is only on late Mr PR Kyndiah debate as the legislator and ruling that he had given as the speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. The Health Minister Smti Roshan Warjri was also present on the occasion.
