Shillong, June 29: On Tuesday the 28th of this month during night time unknown miscreants broke into State Bank of India, ICAR Branch at Umiam in Ri Bhoi District by cutting the collapsible gate and the safe vault with gas welding machine and managed to looted Rs. 11,86,966/- lakh.
The police said that this unknown miscreants were cutting the safe vault with Gas welding machine, and Rs.87,667/- wad burnt. During the inquiry, it transpired that the miscreants gad disconnected the CCTV and the Alarm system of the strong room before committing the crime.
The police is investigating the case to nap the culprit who has committed the crime.
