Shillong, February 20: The Miss Hynniewtrep 2017 was organised by the Bakur Social Welfare Sports Club to promote talents and to boost the confidence of the youth of the Hynniewtrep. It was held on the 18th February 2017 at the Bakur Football Ground.
From among the contestant Miss Naphila Warbah from nongkrem was crowned Miss Hynniewtrep 2017, while miss Anisha Jyrwa from Malki and Miss Deikisha Lyngdoh Talang from Nongtalang bagged the 1st and 2nd prize respectively.
People from the surrounding area of more the 5000 people attended this event and Mr Lakmen Rymbui was the Chief Guest of the ocassion. This huge has encourage so much to the organizer to promote tourism in the border area.
