Shillong, April 05: Today Mr John F Kharshiing sent his resignation letter to the president of the MPCC Dr Celestine Lyngdoh tendering his resignation from the post of the General Secretary of the MPCC.
The resignation of Mr Kharshiing come as a big blow to the Congress party in Meghalaya as the MP election draw near, he has been associated with the Congress party in Meghalaya for abive seven years.
In His resignation letter address to the MPCC president Mr Kharshiing mention that “In the interest of the core political issue of the Khasi, Jaintia and Garo people, and after much thought, deliberation and consideration, I have decided to resign as member of the Indian National Congress, party with immediate effect from today 5thApril 2019”.
