Shillong, June 30: The Government of Meghalaya today in its notification announced that the in the interest of the police service and pending appointment of a regular Director General of Police, Mr S K Jain Special Director general of police special brabch, Shillong is allowed to hold temporary charge of the post of DGP in addition to his own duties with effect from the date taking over charge until further orders.
The notification was sign by Mr P K Shrivastava principal secretary to the government of Meghalaya home (police) department. The incumbent DGP Mr Rajiv Mehta is attaining the superannuation age today.
