Shillong, Feb 20: The Department of Pharmacology, NEIGRIHMS is organizing two days National Workshop on “Health Economics and Outcome Analysis” on the 22nd and 23rd of February 2019 at NEIGRIHMS, Shillong where prominent Pharmacologists and Pharmacists of the country like Dr. Mahendra Kumar Rai (IQVIA as a Head & SME); Dr. Bishwadeep Das (Assoc Prof & HoD, AIIMS Rishikesh); Dr. Utpal Kumar De (Professor, Economics Deptt, NEHU); Shri. Sunil Singh (Sr. Manager-Corporate Marketing, ACG Group) & Smt. Richa Goyal (Engagement Manager, RWI) have been invited as Resource Persons.
The objective of this national workshop is to train those who are interested in health economics studies to guide optimal healthcare resource allocation in a standardized and scientifically grounded manner to promote rational prescribing.
The inaugural Function of this national workshop will be held on the 22nd February, 2019 (at 4:30 pm) at NEIGRIHMS Auditorium where the Director General of Health & Services, Govt. of Meghalaya has consented to grace this function as the Hon’ble Chief Guest and Prof. (Dr.) D. M. Thappa, Director NEIGRIHMS will be the Guest of Honour. Besides many other dignitaries of the NEC, NEIGRIHMS and State Govt. will also be attending the workshop.
More than hundred participants including doctors, pharmacists, nursing officials & students, medical representatives from Meghalaya and other states of North East have registered and are expected to participate in this national workshop.
