Shillong, May 23: The National People Pary’s (NPP) state president Dr W Kharlukhi said that the party demand that the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma should hand the investigation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on the claim of the militant outfit the HNLC that Dr Mukul Sangma is seek their support in the Coming MLA election 2018 to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
Addressing Media person at the NPP office at Lachumier, Dr Kharlukhi said that if the Chief Minister has denied the claim made by the band outfit the HNLC, he should to hand over the investigation to an independent inquiry to clear all doubt. If the Chief Minister has not done any wrong he should be afraid to be investigated by the independent inquiry.
When asked about the inquiry by the state authority, the NPP spoke person James K Sangma said that, it will be better if independent inquiry is doing the investigation so that this will be fair and impartial inquiry will be done. He has no doubt on the state authority but it is better to be investigating by an independent inquiry to clear all doubt.
The NPP MLA and spoke person Mr James said that the Chief Minister Dr Mukul should have given the investigation to NIA since this allegation militant politico nexus again and again this words used to come in the media, to clear all doubts let the Chief Minister asked the NIA to investigate the claim made by the band out fit the HNLC.
