Shillong, October 05: The National People Party (NPP) may not contest the MDC by Election to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) but they will focus on the general election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly due in early 2018.
Sources told SP News Agency that the party is likely to support UDP candidate in all the six MDC Constituency in the KHADC and one in the JHADC. This is the view of some of the senior member of the party, but the final decision will be taken by the party.
Sine both the party the UDP and the NPP combine BJP are likely they will have pre-poll alliance in the general election to the state Assembly so even in this MDC by election they will support party candidate who ever put the candidate in the MDC elelction.
