Shillong, December 11: The Deputy commissioner of West Jaintia Hills District Mr Arunkumar Kembhavi said that the Paytm team is organising an open awareness campaign aimed at digital cashless transactions from 12th to 16th December starting tomorrow being a Market Day of Iaw Mawsiang.
A team from the Paytm will demonstrate to the people at the MTC bus stand at Jowai and others part of the District. “With Paytm you can buy goods in general stores, ride taxis, pay bill in restaurants, buy medicines in pharmacy, buy petrol in petrol bunks, all with a phone”.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the facility within the Paytm, is that you don’t need a smartphone, you don’t even need internet! A basic feature phone is good enough to do transaction via Paytm and You can also transfer money from your paytm wallet to your bank account.
Shopkeepers will get their own QR code for doing business. Customer can pay to the shopkeeper in an instant with zero % fee. All the benefits and transaction modes will be explained to the public by the paytm team during campaign days starting tomorrow.
