Shillong, June 08: On receiving of information of the peddling of drugs at Nongshilliang area, a surveillance was maintained in the area by Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of the district police and one of the peddlers, Smti. Rechel Ralte, 32 years Shillong was apprehended and from her possession suspected heroine was found.
The police immediately, she led police to the house of the supplier, namely, Mr John Baglary 33 years know as Mithinga of Nongshilliang Block-II, Nongthymmai, Shillong and during search of the house in the presence of the respectable elders of the locality more suspected drugs was found and seized.
In all 13.1 grm of heroin was found. Other seized materials were cash of Rs 15012/-, which was the proceeds from sale of drugs and a Scooty bearing No. bearing no. ML 05-N-7249 used for transportation of drugs. The catch was the outcome of a close cooperation of the responsible people of the locality and police.
