Ampati, October 26: The District Administration of South West Garo Hills, in collaboration with the District Sports Office, Ampati, is organizing the “Run for Peace, Unity and Integrity” as part of the observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Integration Day) and Rashtriya Sankalp Diwas National Re-Dedication Day at Ampati on October 31, 2016, next.
This open-to-all, non-competitive mass run will cover a distance of about 2.5 km from Ampati Students’ Field via the Indoor Stadium, Taktaki, Ampati Police Station and Ampati Market tri-junction and culminate at the same venue with a brief programme which would include a workshop on topics of national unity and integrity and prize distribution , among other things.
The Run will be flagged off from Ampati Students’ Field by the Deputy Commissioner, Shri. C.V.D. Diengdoh at 7.00 AM, while on-the-spot registration of participants would take place at 6.30 AM.
