Ampati, October 27:The South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, C.V.D. Diengdoh inspected the projects and exhibits put up by the school students during the District Level National Children’s Science Congress held at Ampati Multi Facility Centre, here on Thursday.
The exhibition Organized by the District Administration in collaboration with the District Planning Office, Ampati and sponsored by the State Council of Science, Technology and Environment (SCSTE), Meghalaya.
The focal theme for this year was “Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development” and is aimed at providing the children with opportunities to discover and recognize their scientific temperament, identify real life issues and try to find solutions through scientific methods in the form of their projects and exhibits.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner gave away the prizes to the teams with the best projects and the selected teams would represent the district at the State Level Congress which is likely to be held sometime in the first week of November, next.
