Tura, September 09: The MDC from 11, Boldamgre Mr Stevie Marak, of the GHADC said that the statement said by the Deputy CEM Mr Augustine Marak that it was politically motivate , is an insult to the employees of the GHADC .
Regarding his statement regarding administrative rule recently, he said “ I have only done so after observing the ineptitude of the present Executive Committee. That we have instigated the employee strike is only baseless speculation”.
The MDC from Boldmagre said that the situation has escalated to the employees having to resort to an indefinite strike points to a lack of competence on the part of the present EC in the administration of the GHADC and instilling confidence in the employees
He said in the press statement issued today , that Mr. Augustine Marak’s statement that the strike being observed by the GHADC employees is politically motivated is insulting to the employees. With no salary for nine months and the disbursement of the pending salaries nothing but empty promises from the EC; with revenue deposited every day and no mention of it being collected and disbursed to give a small amount of relief to the employees.
He alleged that, instead payment to contractors hand in glove with the EC and exorbitant TA DA withdrawals, calling this strike unexpected and politically motivated is just passing the buck and diverting the attention from their own incompetence. The strike by the employees is genuine and is being carried out in a democratic manner. If the EC cannot solve this issue, then the simple solution is for them to resign.said Mr Stevie Marak.
