Shillong, November 08: The Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma said that the amount released by the Government of India since 2007-2008 to 2016-17 is ` 244.558 crore out of which an amount of ` 234.828 crore has been fully utilised till 2015-16.
The remaining amount of Rs 9.73 crore released for 2016-17 is under process of implementation. All Utilization Certificates for all releases since 2007-08 were submitted to the Government of India. The latest Utilization Certificate for the year 2015-16 was submitted vide RKVY 1257- Sanctioned 2015-16/106 dated 30th August, 2016.
On the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), Fund released by Government of India under MIDH sub-scheme Horticulture for North East and Himalayan States (HMNEH) during the 12th Plan Period is ` 127.3475 crore of which ` 114.5975 crore has been fully utilised till date. The remaining fund of ` 12.75 crore recently released by the Government of India is under process of implementation.
It may also be mentioned here that during 2015-16 there was a late release of Central Funds owing to lack of clarity in the funding pattern which was earlier indicated by the Government of India as 50:50 (Central: State Share) but subsequently was fixed at 90:10 (Central: State Share) after prolonged follow-up by the State Government.
