Shillong, January 31: The Border Security Force (BSF) posted in Borsora under South West Khasi Hills District made seizure of Arms and ammunition near the International Border with Bangladesh.
The BSF found that one bag hidden beneath the stone cover with grass when they clear the graas the found one bag and when they open the bag, it was found that three countries made revolver, ammunition and camouflage uniform from the spot.
The BSF said that, it has been revealed that these arms and ammunition items belong to Bangladesh criminals. Rashid resident of Burbaktela, village and Sujan, resident of Telagaon village, Piyush resident of Banglabita village and Appu,earlier residing in Khanjoy in India and now settled in Telagaon in Bangladesh.
The BSF claim that Akbar Ali, residence of Tahirpur who were working with Markos Ex – ANVC cadre, resident of Rajai village and all are under Tahirpur police station of the Sunamganj District of Bangladesh.
The above criminals have been involved in illegal activities in Rajaju, Khanjoy, Nongkhalam, Ansur, Nangjori, Amar Singh, Kolagaon coal quarries belt area under Ranikhor police station of South West Khasi Hills District and used to hide their arms ammunition and clothing items in Indian Jungle area. Whenever they need to cross the IB after completion of illegal activities, they use to change their clothing and moved as a labour in Bangladesh to disguise themselves from the BSFs.
