Shillong, May 03: The president of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Dr DD Lapang today made it clear that the Congress do not have the habit of projecting its Chief Minister candidate in any election.
The MPCC president said that the Congress part is a democratic party, they do not project who will be the chief minister, after the election all congress MLA will chose the leader who ever get the majority become the chief minister from the party.
The MPCC president said that Me, (DD Lapang) and Mukul should not be offended if they are not in that list because the Congress believes the decision of the majority should be respected. The MPCC president said that the Congress will come back to power in 2018. He claims that the congress will get the single largest party after the election.
The MPCC president denied the allegation made by former CEM of the KHADC from Nongpoh Mr CB Syiem after living that party that many scheme mend for Nongpoh have been diverted by the present Government.
