Shillong, July 28: The Central Puja Committee (CPC), Meghalaya was held on recently and was attended by CPC Officials besides representatives of various Temples in shillong City.
The meeting expressed grave concern and anguish on the manhandling and unprovoked attack on devotees by miscreants at Mahadev Khola Dham when the worship ritual was in progress 24th July.
Such incidents are not common in Meghalaya, known for religious harmony and amity. It was also resoled to condemn the incident and urge upon the Govt. of Meghalaya to provide security in the temple complex, since devotees visit this temple throughout the year to perform various rituals.
The meeting also requested all the temple representatives to install CCTV cameras in their individual places of worship and maintain vigil to prevent such incidents in future created by anti-social elements.
