Shillong, June 19: The CSWO has received through sources a copy of the letter signed by many Pastors of the Baptist church about their giving counsel to the girls in Jaynie Sangma’s house.
The recent spurt of killings and kidnaps in Garo Hills are all an eye wash by the police to gain limelight so as to cover up for their brutal acts of Torturing many youths in custody and the assault and killing of Balsan Marak and Witson Sangma who were arrested on mere suspicions by the police without any solid proof.
One month has passed and 2 inquiries, ordered but reports are nowhere to be seen with regards to the torture of 12 girls allegedly by activists.
The CSWO wonders where the reports are, and do they contain frightening facts. Why is the Government scared of the facts? or are they waiting to tamper them like they did the Jailbreak inquiry, because it seems some police have told the truth.
That Jaynie and group did not illegally detain or torture the girls….it was with the full knowledge of the SP, DC, that the girls were with Jaynie Sangma and Pastors have also issued a letter to the District Sessions Judge at Tura, on the 12th May 2014 that they were giving counseling to the girls why were the Police hell bent on the kidnap theory was it to cover up for the so called ‘sex scandal’ rocking Garo Hills where politicians, Police and Police linked – militants were involved.
Many tortures in Police custody and piling of false cases on vulnerable youth is practiced by police in the State and the CSWO urges all youths who have been victims to such Torture to compile their reports and hand over to the President of the CSWO and contact the CSWO in the following numbers, 9436118164, 9436164181. Such act of terror by Police will not be condoned by any Social Welfare State.
The CSWO urges all militant groups to come above ground and solve things on the table so that police do not get opportunities to arrest innocent suspects and torture them.(SP News)
