Shillong, December 09: The police have received a complaint from Smt. J Wanswet, Dy. Secretary, Finance Establishment Department government of Meghalaya that the Account Officer of the Water Resources Department for demanding money from Contractors to released their bills.
The Deputy Secretary lodged a complaint that based on a report submitted by Crime Investigation Department and the Anticorruption Branch government of Meghalaya. She is directed to file an FIR against one Shri Daniel N Sangma, Accounts Officer, Office of Executive Engineer, Water Resources Division, PHE, Baghmara South Garo Hills District, that the officer was demanding cash from contractors for clearing their bills.
