The Employees of the GHADC block the CEM and the Dy CEM to inter office

Tura, September 05: The employees of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) on their first day of indefinite strike that they have begun today, demanding that the Executive committee should pay their salary did not allowed the Chief Executive Member (CEM) Denand T Sangma and his Deputy CEM to inter to tier office.

The GHADC employees all stand in front of the office of the GHADC blocking all Executive members to inter their office, demanding that their salary should be clear immediately. The Employees who are taking part in the indefinite strike are both the gazette officers and the non-gazette.

Many employees taking along with them their children’s tagging protest in front of the GHADC office in Tura. The indefinite strike started during the office hours where more than thousand employees participate in the indefinite strike of the GHADC office by the employees.

Speaking to  SP News Agency the Chief Executive member of the GHADC Mr Denand T Sangma said that they will try to persuade the employees to withdraw their indefinite strike, what they have taken is a non-cooperation movement from the part of the employees.

On the allegation that was made against the EC that they have paid Bills to contractor is not true said the CEM, what they have pay is only emergency need to run the daily maintenance for the office. The office need to function, this money that was paid is from the daily collection of revenue.
