Shillong, September 08: The main gate of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) which is under lock by the agitated employees was open today by the Executive Committee, in the presence of the District Administration of West Garo Hills.
The Deputy Chief Executive Members of the GHADC Mr Augustine Marak told SP News Agency over phone that they have resumed their duties today and started their work as usual. The Chief Executive Member and all the Executive members including Chairman are attending their office.
From the Executive Committee once again they have requested the employees, to resume their duties since the executive committee has assured that their nine month salary will be given to them within a period of one month.
The Deputy CEM said that few of the employees rejected their request, saying that they will attend their office after getting their salary only. The Executive Committee has requested all the employees should attend to their office by Monday.
