The GHADC contemplating to seek court intervention to get their money from the state Govt

Shillong, August 20: The Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) is contemplating to to seek court intervention to get their money from the state government. How long we can be patient, if the staff of the Council is suffering for not getting their salary for nine month, said Mr Denand T Sangma, Chief Executive Member.

Speaking to SP News Agency, the CEM, said that they have been waiting for long, if the state government is intentionally  delay in releasing the money of the  GHADC, they have no alternative but they have to find a way  to get their money  due to the GHADC.

“We are contemplating to seek court intervention to get their money from the state Government, this will be the last option, that they are going to take, we will wait for few more days, since we had already wait for long, said Mr Sangma”.

The present  Executive Committee  has face this problem, is due to the state government  has allowed the previous executive Committee to with draw an amount of Rs. 22 cores in advance, in which the state government has adjusted till date Rs. 18 cores, and another’s  Rs.4 cores is yet be  adjusted    by the state government .

This money that the government has allowed  the previous Executive Committee to drown in advance, is now adjusted from the share of royalty  that is due to the GHADC, and the money that they are asking for is from the special central assistance, which the state government has not released till date.
